MAKING THE SDGs OUR BUSINESS

Bringing sustainability to the agribusiness and food production sector
by bringing higher education and business together

Project Overview

SDGs Labs aims to build a culture of collaboration and knowledge exchange between different stakeholders involved in agribusiness and food production with the goal of holistic incorporation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into modern business practices of the sector.

Over the course of the project, universities, businesses, NGOs and start-up incubators alike will work closely together to accomplish this through 2 main streams:

Translating the abstract SDGs into practical business solutions for actors all along the supply chain in the agribusiness and food production sector.

Developing innovative methods, tools and co-learning environments for future collaborations.

SDGs LABs CLOSING EVENT SERIES

Throughout whole December, we will be carrying out a series of events as our SDGs Labs project is slowly coming to an end and we want to use this opportunity to share and highlight all the learnings we had on the road in the past three years.

To make this happen we joint forces in our four project countries and designed several formats for you – from expert talks and panel discussions with other exciting European projects, inspiring business partners and pioneers we met on the way, as well as sessions that allow you first hand experiences of our SDGs Labs Academies Platform which will be launched right before the kick-off of the events.

By participating in our events, you not only get the chance to explore practical methods and tools that help you implement in the SDGs within your own organization, university or business, but we also invited European experts and role models to share their journey and learnings with you on how to make the SDGs your and our business.

You can register for all our events for free and join them online from all over the world.

Just click on the event titles to find out more about the different formats of our series, the speakers we invited, as well as the agendas and registration links.

WHY THE SDGs?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – 17 in total – provide a consistent and universally accepted framework for addressing sustainability in the 21st century. The agribusiness and food production sector is particularly relevant as it has the potential to deliver more than 25% of the 169 targets of the SDGs.

The UN, creator of the goals, defines the SDGs as “a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity”. For more information, check out the UN website.
